From the potent liminal space of the dark holy days of midwinter, February arrives to usher in a shift of lighter days and the eros of life quickening within the soil underneath our feet and within our earth body.
Our ancestors celebrated this time of year as the fire festival of Imbolc; the awakening of spring, new beginnings and fertility.
The stirrings of renewal are prickling in the depths of our wintering. The body remembers desire as the charge that move the worlds. The gifts we foraged in the dark days, in the long underworld journey of night, must be brought back up, through the body, into the eros of becoming.
As we enter through this threshold,
we will gather in the virtual zoom temple
for an evening of ceremony, poetry and embodied prayer,
to make contact with the charge of aliveness inside
that we call Eros.
