This is an invitation of Unbecoming -
the most holy of inner pilgrimages.
Of courting the dark.
It is an invitation of Descent.
We will gather for my favourite time of year, on the edges of the Samhain portal, when it can be sensed that the veils are thinner and the boundaries between the seen and the unseen blurs and the mystical and otherworldly makes itself more known and touchable.
Cultures from all over the world have used this time to commune with their ancestors and unseen guides in various ways, and for the ancient Celts it was the time when the Queen of Winter, the divine hag, the ‘veiled one’, takes over the reigns from the Spring Goddess to usher the world into the deepness of night.
We will gather in circle to seek counsel from the intelligence of this descent into night, to attune to the beckoning of the void that this season summons, and to listen for the silent messengers beyond the veil.

It will be a weekend to commune with mystery, to make offerings for our ancestors, and to celebrate the death and rebirth cycle of creation.
It will be a time for prayer, contemplation, ritual, circle and togetherness to take up sacred apprenticeship with the Holy Dark and the holy Unbecoming, with the Earth Mother who is the womb of creation.
WHERE :
We will be held by the sweet retreat venue Holwell - an eco wellness centre set within a 13th century farmstead in North Devon, on the border of the wild and epic Exmoor national park.
Holwell is an old farmstead steeped in history and character, complete with a sauna garden and 5 acres of wonderful land to wander including a nature conservation woodland... and wait for it.... its very own stone circle... Yes.
Think wild ancient trees, fire circles at night, sauna sessions for integration, and candlelit sessions in the heated workshop barn.
WHO :
Rikke is a ritualist and modern mystic - a guide walking with those at the edges of the spiritual inquiry.
A devotee of the Mother in all her forms, a keeper of feminine mysteries, and a stirrer of waking source energy through the gateways of embodiment, non-dual Tantra & meditation, depth spirituality and the rituals & living wisdom of earth-based traditions.

HOW TO GET THERE
More info when you book, but in short Holwell's postcode is EX31 4NZ, about a 4hr drive from London if you have a car, and about a 3,5hr train journey from London Paddington to Barnstaple train station. I will try to assist you in pooling up for rideshares or taxi sharing from the station.
Aim to be at the retreat venue for 2pm on Friday, and departure will be afternoon Sunday. More details will be fleshed out once you book.
